LIBA Liba Houseboats, based at Renmark, invites you to play in their backyard this summer.

The mighty River Murray is flowing, the backwaters have had a good flush out and everything looks fresh and alive again.

Upstream from Renmark you can truly get away from it all.

There is an abundance of wildlife and the birdlife is rejoicing in the rejuvenation of the river system.

The yabbies are running hot on the main river and out of the creeks, not to mention the fish — Callop, Redfin and even Catfish.

Liba Liba Houseboats has a vessel to suit you and your crew’s needs.

“We have 14 paddlewheel boats, constantly being updated, sleeping from two up to 12 people,” owner Carissa Austin said.

“Our qualified houseboat instructors will go through all you need to know about your houseboat and rules of the river; they even take you for a practice drive and park.

“They are with you until you feel confident to set out on your houseboat adventure, you’ll also have peace of mind knowing you have 24-hour radio contact with base.”

After 50 years of paddlewheels, Liba Liba Houseboats is now delving into outboards with the addition of Class Act.

“Class Act offers our clients a well-appointed, modern houseboat featuring four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a third toilet located on the spacious rear deck,” Carissa said.

“Relax and retreat in the spa on the upper deck and drink in the breathtaking views of the majestic Murray River.”

Houseboating is one of the most relaxing holidays you’ll ever have.
